Diapason was a collaboration with performance artist Alex Rigg of OceanAllOver. Rigg had devised a performance piece centred around poetry and the body, mentoring selected students to create the costumes for the project. I worked closely with Rigg and the performance artist Joy Jin, who would wear my costume. My textile exploration focused on representing the internal body, creating slightly grotesque but beautiful textures, and playing with contrasting ideas of fragility and strength. The final performance took place at Edinburgh College of Art in 2019.
