I led creative workshops as part of Edinburgh Deaf Festival 2025, to create a textile banner celebrating the festival and the work of Deaf Action. I was able to lead the workshops in both spoken English and British Sign Language (BSL), supported by a BSL interpreter to ensure full accessibility and inclusive participation. The programme included a baby and toddler finger-painting session, a collage workshop, and two embroidery workshops, each designed to engage participants of different ages and creative interests. Across the sessions, attendees contributed to the creation of a map of Edinburgh, placing on it important events from Edinburgh Deaf Festival and highlighting the work of Deaf Action across the city. The project combined accessible arts education with community celebration, resulting in a vibrant, co-created artwork that reflected the festival and its participants.

Thanks to Deaf Action and Edinburgh Deaf Festival for my inclusion in the festival programme and their support throughout.
